Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity, Inc. is a New York corporation that is regulated by New York Not-for-Profit Corporation law and the Federal non-profit tax code.

The internal rules and regulations of Tau Epsilon Phi are set by the Constitution and Statutory Code of Tau Epsilon Phi. The everyday governance of the Fraternity is handled by the Grand Council of Tau Epsilon Phi, which is elected by the Grand Chapter of Tau Epsilon Phi, a body comprised of all active chapters and alumni clubs. The Grand Chapter convened on July 21-24, 2016 to elect a new Grand Council and will next gather in 2018.
